Cut costs through automation

Welfare units often consume excessive energy unnecessarily. Reducing this remotely can be challenging without insight into on-site conditions. Is heat escaping because windows are left open? Has the heating been left on after the crew has gone?

Xtellio’s solution for modular welfare units helps you reduce costs by automatically turning the HVAC system on or off—preventing heat loss through open windows, lowering the temperature at night or outside working hours, and shutting down the system during weekends and holidays. It also provides real-time, accurate energy consumption data for billing and CO₂ footprint calculations.

How it works

First, a Gateway Xentral (dark icon in the illustration) is installed. This device communicates with Xtellio Cloud via an embedded SIM solution. It collects data from all other devices installed in the modular welfare unit and forwards it to the cloud. It also receives commands from the cloud—such as updated schedules or new trigger settings for the IR Xense to control the HVAC unit. If needed, the Gateway Xentral can also be configured to provide GPS location data.

The Gateway Xentral is paired with Xense devices (blue icons in the illustration):

The system comes with standard default settings that enable the IR Xense to manage the HVAC unit automatically. If the default settings don't suit your specific needs, Xtellio can help customize them for your use case.
